Is there a setting I need to change in my web server? I'm under the impression that AJAX magic is all done on the client side, but I'm largely unfamiliar with the technology. I've googled around and found no information that seems to help. It can also run advanced PHP, Perl, Python, ASP.NET, and Ruby on Rails Web. It supports HTTP/2, secure SSL/TLS connections (HTTPS), automated free certificates from ACME-compliant certification authorities such as Let's Encrypt, along with a wide range of Web technologies. I placed a line of javascript alert ("spajax is loaded.") in spajax.js and another in scriptaculous.js simply to prove the scripts were being loaded by my local web page. Abyss Web Server enables you to host your Web sites on your computer. None of the pages show any kind of error messages when opened. The spajax test pages do not function properly either. I don't see the "shake" or other message effect after opening the "Scriptaculous/Prototype/AJAX Settings" page and enabling the settings. I installed the spajax module on both sites. I tried several different browsers and found all browsers worked with the effects on the remote site, but none of them rendered AJAX effects on the local site. Spajax works correctly on my remote host. I am thrilled to have a server and database running Drupal without the delays of my dial-up service. ![]() I use my local computer to browse the internet as well as viewing and developing a local Drupal site hosted on the same computer. Both sites are running correctly -perfectly, except for the odd PHP or MySQL error. Has anyone here tried running RB behind Abyss If so, what settings do I have to tweak Im about to jump on this train, just thought Id ask to save myself some joy. The other is hosted on a local Windows XP computer running Abyss web server and MySQL as a background service. One is on my remote shared-hosting web service. I have two properly functioning Drupal test sites.
