![]() On this page, we break down every major choice in the Mass Effect trilogy that severely impacts the story and carries from one game to the next. All of this is retained, of course, in the newly remastered Mass Effect Legendary Edition - except now, it's all in one handy package. Now, it's true that much of this choice and consequence is simply smoke and mirrors say you kill one character and their role in the next game is still present, just replaced by a slightly-different character - but ultimately many of these decisions do add up to make for a satisfying and unique-feeling experience across all three games in the series. ![]() Which, you know, is the farthest thing from the truth. If the Mass Effect Trilogy is famous for anything, it's for its use of choices and consequences, where there's a great range of decisions for players to make throughout the series, with decisions having repercussions not just in the game where you make them, but also often in recurring storylines across all three games. Plus it makes me feel like some kind of l33t hacker. I noodled around a bit and I've figured out how to use it, and it's pretty awesome. For the workaround, for the posts, for everyone's help. ![]() SO, if you, or anyone else, finds out how to use the Mass Effect 2 Xbox version of the editor to keep Wrex alive in a new save, let me know. Needless to say, I don't really wanna play through half the game to figure this out. So I figure if you start a new game, importing an ME2 character that doesn't have any of those boxes checked, Wrex is still alive. As far as I can tell, Gibbed's Editor (360 Edition) doesn't support name changes yet, so I'm not able to rename character I'd import from ME1 with all of my preferences attached (as far as decisions go).Īt the same time, the editor doesn't have a box for "Keep Wrex alive!" only boxes that make him dead. So what, I click the "Lived to Fight Again" box and then start a new game with the Import ME2 character option?Īlso, if you get to a point where you've figured this out, do me a favor and let me know if that method works to keep Wrex alive. No idea, but deleted save and replayed and it was OK.Īny updates planned for this sort of thing in the near future Gibbed? (I'm wading through the source code but that will take a while to learn where everything is)Īnyone else encountered this problem, and is something I read elsewhere true that the attack is actually triggered by doing either Jack or more likely Legion's loyalty quest?Īlso, a response to another poster, I too have had the occasional fail with a message saying it's trying to read more than 1 meg. Can anyone suggest how to do this (hex offset?). Obvious answer would indeed to be to reset the 'timer' or more likely 'mission counter' to a lower number to give enough missions to get everyone loyal (I'm, over half way through the Male Shep so don't want to start from scratch). Now hit the state of the message telling me I have to go find the IFF, and yet I've only done Miranda's loyalty mission.Īny one else experienced this (have the other parallel games added to an overall counter), as I don't see how I can do the rest of the loyalty quests needed to keep everyone alive when I believe the ship gets attacked after getting Legion. I also created two new female sheps (an Adept and an Engineer) which I played in parallel to help get the specialist achievements). I have a question though: I imported a level 60 ME1 male shephard into me2 and have been playing. Hi, I'm a newbie to the board and Gibbed's ME2 editor and have been hex editing on the 360 up until now.
